Bypass Gastrico
Il Bypass Gastrico è stato il primo tra gli interventi chirurgici bariartici ad essere eseguito.
È un metodo chirurgico che riduce sia il volume dello stomaco che l'assorbimento del cibo. Tuttavia, al giorno d'oggi è sostituito da interventi chirurgici come la Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale e il mini bypass gastrico.
Questo metodo, che nel 2003 costituiva il 63% di tutti gli interventi chirurgici per l'obesità, è sceso al 46% nel 2013. A partire dal 2016, è sceso al 25%.
Anche se fino al 2012 era la chirurgia di riduzione gastrica più comune, recentemente è stata sostituita dalla Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale.
Chi può sottoporsi a intervento di Bypass Gastrico?
Può essere eseguito su pazienti con indice di massa corporea (BMI) superiore a 40. Se il paziente ha una malattia aggiuntiva (resistenza all'insulina, disturbi ortopedici) che riduce la qualità della vita, può essere realizzata anche su pazienti con un indice di massa corporea superiore a 35.
Può anche essere realizzato come intervento di revisione per coloro che hanno fatto un precedente intervento chirurgico bariatrico.
Come viene eseguito il Bypass Gastrico?
Il Bypass Gastrico Roux-en-Y (RYGB) è un tipo di intervento chirurgico per la perdita di peso. Questo intervento riduce le dimensioni della parte superiore dello stomaco in una piccola sacca. È fatto pinzando la parte superiore dello stomaco. Questo riduce la quantità di cibo che puoi consumare. Quindi questa sacca è attaccata direttamente a una parte dell'intestino tenue chiamata arto Roux. Assume una forma ad "Y". Il cibo che mangi quindi bypassa il resto dello stomaco e la parte superiore dell'intestino tenue. Ciò riduce la quantità di calorie assorbite dai cibi che mangi.
Viene eseguito come metodo chiuso, in laparoscopia.
Quali sono le differenze tra Bypass Gastrico e Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale? Quale è meglio?
Il Bypass Gastrico è un tipo di intervento chirurgico eseguito soprattutto in pazienti che hanno diabete e reflussi da molti anni. Il Bypass Gastrico ha una storia di 20 anni nel nostro paese, ed è stata sostituita dalla Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale.
Uno dei motivi della sostituzione con la Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale è la struttura anatomica dello stomaco. Nell'intervento di Bypass Gastrico, lo stomaco viene ridotto, le parti intestinali vengono sostituite e l'assunzione di cibo da parte del paziente viene limitata. Nella Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale viene rimossa una parte specifica dello stomaco che riduce la secrezione dell'ormone della fame, l'intestino non viene modificato, la struttura anatomica rimane la stessa.
Se i pazienti non vengono seguiti bene durante il processo post-operatorio e non hanno una terapia di supporto, riprendono al momento il 20% di peso. È possibile rivedere e ripetere la Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale in caso di aumento di peso, ma il Bypass Gastrico non può essere ripetuto in quanto modifica la struttura anatomica.
Mentre ci sono alcune complicazioni specifiche del Bypass Gastrico come l'ulcera nella giunzione stomaco-intestino, il rischio di groviglio dell'intestino, ecc. per quanto riguarda la Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale, il tasso di complicazioni è molto basso. Inoltre, diarrea, le carenze di minerali, vitamine e proteine sono più elevate nel Bypass Gastrico rispetto alla Gastrectomia Verticale Parziale.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My experience with Berat at TravelMEDI was exceptional from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble any questions I may have had were answered promptly and efficiently. The treatment I received was fantastic from my surgeon to the hospital staff who were outstanding the hospital and Hotel beat anything in the UK. Now home the care is still there with regular contact via Berat. I can’t thank Berat and TravelMEDI enough for their kindness.

Where do I start? I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the beginning until the end, Travelmedi looked after myself, my husband and even our little girl. They made us feel so comfortable and respected.
I came over to Istanbul for a tummy tuck and liposuction after hating how I looked for many years. Having children left me with an overhang. I came to travel medi on a recommendation for a breast uplift and augmentation but being only 22 I was extremely nervous and it was my first surgery also. Berat was just amazing I cannot talk higher of him! He made the whole experience every single step as seamless as possible, I was given a whole itinerary and Berat still kept me updated and went through every step I did by my side. Every consultation appointment every time I had to leave the hotel he was there with us, he is so so lovely kind caring and any question or query(not that I had many) he answered almost immediately!
I went to a different surgeon than what I was supposed to but it was the best decision ever made. Professor Mustafa Keskin is top of the game and he was absolutely brilliant and went into so much detail about every single aspect of the surgery.
I was extremely nervous about having surgery but he was amazing. Berat was with me every step of the way till I was being wheeled down for surgery! When I woke up in the morning he was there for my release and accompanied me in the car back to the hotel.
Travel Medi is an amazing company to go with, from start to finish my whole process was completely seamless and stress free. They sort everything out so all you have to do is turn up! Every time we left the hotel for a consultation or blood work our driver was there to take us wait and pick us up. Berat is a credit to Travel Medi he’s an absolute diamond! Even now I am home he is still checking in to make sure I am ok!

From the very first contact made with travelmedi the service was amazing. They were so thorough with all their questions and as a mother allowing her child at 17 years old to under go any surgery never mind surgery in another country I say I had nothing to worry about. They made great contact right up to appointment. From the first greeting at airport until the last drop bk at airport to return was excellent service. And that wasn't the end they still made contact to see how her healing process was and I honestly would recommend them to anyone. The service in turkey was for a breast reduction and from her first appointment until her last the staff were so helpful pleasant and very caring.

Honestly couldn't recommend anyone more. From start to finish I have been kept informed and reassured with everything. Any questions I had Berat answered quickly and made me feel very comfortable going forward with the surgery. I had the surgery less that a week ago and I am already massively happy with the results I have and can't wait till I am fully healed for the finished look! If anyone is unsure of travelling to Turkey or who to go with regarding surgey, TravelMedi is for sure the best!
